Offer me a cheese platter and I am a happy girl. Yes, I am such easy to please when it comes to food. Especially cheese. And Dutch too. That combinations makes me a real sucker for cheese. This place called Culture Cheese Club on Bree Street – Cape Town -therefore is a great (and dangerous) new find. I was there on a sunny autumn day to shoot a nice impression.
Culture Cheese Club can be found on 215 Bree Street in Cape Town. It’s a cheese shop and restaurant in one. You can buy cheeses for at home, do a tasting or order delicious breakfast and lunches. Think: Triple three-cheeses omelette with avocado on sourdough toast for breakfast, or Mushroom and La Petite France brie risotto and a Camembert Mac’ and Cheese for lunch… A ‘simple’ toasted sandwich with a fresh juice or a coffee is also not a problem. Yummy!
Culture Cheese Club is open Tuesday – Friday from 8am until 5pm and on Saturday from 9am until 4pm. Closed on Sundays and Mondays. Every first Thursday of the month they are open till late as they join the Bree Street First Thursdays Street Fest.
More information about Culture Cheese Club and a full list of cheeses they stock can be found here.
*Note: I have not been asked, paid or invited to write about Culture Cheese Club. It was my own idea and my opinion is honest. All photos are mine.
