There is this nice, simple restaurant in Wassenaar, a place in between The Hague and Leiden, in The Netherlands, where you can just eat very tasty, simple food for a fair price. While summer in Europe is in full swing me and my father found it the best idea to go cycling for the afternoon to the coast, and have dinner on our way back at ’t Hoekje – which means the Corner. It’s located in the village of Wassenaar on a corner. This restaurant exists from 1874 onwards, always as a café, bar or restaurant. Today I’ll share a photo report with you!
Outside seating when weather is nice!
Wine (a nice Chardonnay from Torres – Spain), beer and the menu!
I ordered the salad with scampi’s, chili, garlic, tomato, cucumber, onion and parsley!
My dad ordered the chicken satay – his favourite!
Fries, mayo, salad on the side!
Tiramisu to share with a coffee! The meals here are simple, but delicious. Service friendly, and atmosphere relaxed. A good place for dinner.
