Young families, business men and women, housewives, first daters, married couples and everything in between. Mano’s restaurant in Green Point is for everyone! It’s fresh, hip and happening, although the place exists already for many years. The vibe is great, and so is the friendly staff and delicious food. Expensive? No, not really! A starter or salad will costs about R50-R90 and a main somewhere between R90 – R160. We visited Mano’s with friends recently, in October, and we were happily surprised! Today I will show you more about our experience.
Mano’s is situated on 39 Main Road, Green Point. It is owned by a Greek family and you will see that back into the food menu; Greek salads, prego rolls, chicken al limone, but also pastas, seafood and other Mediterranean (Italian/Spanish/Greek) food. The wine list is not big but has enough to be happy about. We had a light and dry Sauvignon blanc, but I forgot the house. It’s like that at Mano’s: You forget the time, the unimportant things in life, and just have a nice conversation and enjoy the food.
The interior is homely and casual.
We shared a green salad with Parmesan to start off with.
Calamari….. Divine.
Penne al Arrabbiata.
Chicken Schnitzel with Dijon mustard sauce…… Ohhhhhh
Greek style salad on the side….
Spice things up with the green pepper sauce… But be careful, it is HOT.
The food is super yum at Mano’s. Fresh, simple and good. The quality of the ingredients is great, and the cooking skills of the Chef are, too. It doesn’t have to be fine dining and difficult always. Restaurants like Mano’s just make you happy.
