To be honest with you I am a bit afraid of horses. They are big and unpredictable (in my eyes). But then on the other side they fascinate me. Beautiful, muscular animals, who can carry and do carry humans already for hundreds of years. With their majestic body and mokka brown, bright white or deep black colours they are such beautiful animals. And when you see a well trained horse and a well trained horseback rider together, it’s a pleasure to watch. That is why we decided to do a horse trail in the mountains of Franschhoek, together with a trained and experienced guide. Paradise Stables is thé address for both experienced and unexperienced riders.
Hello gorgeous you!
Together with a guide you discover the beautiful Franschhoek valley on a horseback! You can either choose a ‘normal’ trail, or go for the wine tasting on a horseback experience, where you stop at few wineries to taste wine.
The Facts
Paradise Stables in Franschhoek (South Africa) is open for wine tasting on a horseback and for separate horse riding trails from Monday – Saturday. Reservation upfront is recommended. You will find Paradise Stable on the Robertsvlei Road. Turn right at the Monument (end of Main Road Franschhoek) and right again at the first possibility. This is Robertsvlei Road. *Note: I have not been asked, paid or invited to write about Paradise Stables horse riding in Franschhoek (South Africa). It was my own idea to share this experience with you. All images are mine, made with an iPhone (therefore photo quality isn’t that great).
