Free tip for all the lazy housewives (like me sometimes) who like to invite people over for dinner but don’t always have the time or mood to be in the kitchen the whole day: Organise a whole dinner party by going to 1 excellent deli and buy it all! Act and serve with your ‘I made everything myself face’ and your guests will love you forever. That is exactly what we did last week. We were in Utrecht (read more about this beautiful historic city in this article, or here, or here) and ran out of time, and had a guest that evening. Of course we wanted to make something tasty, and Italian is my favourite kitchen. So, Bigoli saved us! This lovely Italian Deli, lunch room, take away and coffee place is situated in the Schoutenschout in Utrecht, next to the well known Neude square. It will save you when you want to serve a nice Italian inspired lunch or dinner but don’t have time to make it all yourself. You can even buy your wine here. While waiting for the friendly staff to wrap all your goodies, you can eat an Italian Focaccia sandwich yourself, or have a coffee with an almond cookie. Perfect! The only disadvantage of this lazy housewife tactic: it’s pricey. But less pricey than going out for dinner! And if you don’t buy all your groceries every day of the week at the Deli, it’s still do-able, I think…. And I often cook a dinner myself, so this time it was ‘allowed’. The Facts

Bigoli, Situated on 12 Schoutenstraat in Utrecht is open 7 days a week.
They serve coffee, lunch, sandwiches (take away & eat it in the park or alongside the canals), sweet Italian treats (hello Biscottis), charcuterie, cheeses, olives, bread, chicken pesto, pomodori tomatoes and other deli products. Besides Bigoli being a deli and breakfast/lunch place, you can also organise catering events with them! I think it’s awesome if you get married, or organise another party, to have a long table outside on the grass, full with food from Bigoli! Want to know more about Bigoli in Utrecht?
