Red Pesto and Parmaham puff pastry rolls

It’s Friday, it’s almost weekend! Are you ready for sundowners and snacks tonight? These cute rolls are easy to make, look great and most important: they are super tasty.

Puff pastry rolls with red pesto (sundries tomatoes, roasted and salted macadamia nuts, basil and virgin olive oil)

Ingredients

1 sheet of puff pastry
3 table spoons of Red Pesto (find the recipe here)
100 gram of Parma ham
1 teaspoon oregano
0,5 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 egg, whisked

Method

Take a sheet of puff pastry out of your freezer and allow to defrost a bit. Cover with red pesto and smear out. Sprinkle with some cayenne pepper and oregano, and then the slices Parma ham.
Roll up and place in the fridge for half an hour, to set a bit. In the meanwhile you can preheat the oven to 200º Celsius. Take your roll and cover with whisked egg. Take a sharp knife and cut in pieces of 2 cm thick. Place on side on a baking tray and bake off in the oven for about 20-25 minutes or until brown. On the photo they look burned but they are not.

Enjoy!
