Christmas 2016 is over, I know. And this post comes a bit too late, I know. It was ready to post, but then the news came of the terrible terroristic attacks on a Christmas market near the old Church in Berlin, Germany. Therefore I decided to wait a bit with posting the article, but on the other hand we all have to keep on going to Christmas markets, and do fun things, without being (too) afraid of extremists and other crazy people in the world. So: here it is, my photo report of the Weihnachtsmarkt in Hamburg. About two weeks ago we were in Hamburg and had fun on many ‘Weihnachtsmarkten’ of the city. The Germans love Christmas and I think they are the best with their Christmas Markets and food/drinks. Glühwein, Bratwurst, Grünkohl, schnapps, Eierpunsch, crêpes, mushrooms, speck (bacon) and more. It’s common thing in Germany to go for lunch to a Christmas market, or finish off the day with colleagues with a glühwein (or two).
